Her Rite of Passage

“A rite of passage is a ritual event that marks a person’s transition from one status to another.” – wikipedia

The date resembles the anniversary of her birth. The idea of an anniversary is celebration. Celebration, in terms of celebrating the achievement of reaching a certain age? Or is just the comfort of tradition in celebrating the abstract phenomena to pass through time and mark them at certain points?

Either case, I abide and follow. Because for this writing human being; she is important.
You follow me in and after the twilight that comes with the darkness. You halter and open my eyes when I comply to the sufferings of life. You remain seated as the supreme ruler of my trancendent emotional realm; a Goddess to make love to, a Woman to scream at, a Girl to laugh and play with and a Mother to find protection within.
My own personal emotional rollercoaster, that I would want to ride each day of my life, with all my heart.

Tribute 2

“If you don’t get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don’t want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can’t hold on to it forever.”

  • The first truth is that life is suffering i.e., life includes pain, getting old, disease, and ultimately death. We also endure psychological suffering like loneliness frustration, fear, embarrassment, disappointment and anger. This is an irrefutable fact that cannot be denied. It is realistic rather than pessimistic because pessimism is expecting things to be bad.
  • The second truth is that suffering is caused by craving and aversion. We will suffer if we expect other people to conform to our expectation, if we want others to like us, if we do not get something we want, etc. In other words, getting what you want does not guarantee happiness. Rather than constantly struggling to get what you want, try to modify your wanting. Wanting deprives us of contentment and happiness.
  • The third truth is that suffering can be overcome and happiness can be attained; that true happiness and contentment are possible. lf we give up useless craving and learn to live each day at a time (not dwelling in the past or the imagined future) then we can become happy and free.

With closed eyes, I see the beauty of transparent clarity.

“Finding something important in life
does not mean
that you must give up everything else”

In all the things that feels right, there is the source of wrongness. A thought of an outsider, the chosen one, the ugly duckling, the unique cell, the immortal cancer.

Given energy, it grows.
Giving it meaning, makes it last.

I find myself trembling in my own dellusions. A world where happiness can be found, where non really are. A place where I create my own wellbeing, despite anyone else’s effort or influence

A duality finds peace here. A mixture of feelings and choices. A positive and a negative magnate. The beauty and the beast. The rising, and the fallen. The ego and the nothingness.

What is the force that drives us far from the comfort of the familiar and makes us take up challenges instead, even though we know that the glory of this world is only  transistory?
I believe this impulse is called the search for the meaning of life. Over many years of seeking a definitive answer to this question in books, art and science, and in both the dangerous and easy paths I have followed, I have found many answers.
I am convinced now that a definitive answer will never be given to us in this life, but that, at the last, at the moment when we stand once more before the Creator, we will understand each opportunity that was offered to us.
